Untuk memudahkan ketika menunjukkan kembali sewaktu-waktu, saya tuliskan kembali di sini.
Kebetulan kantor saya juga menggunakan produk antivirus yang sama, dan suatu kali saya menghadapi kasus yang sama. Password uninstall dan scan network yang diterapkan pada hampir semua client entah mengapa tidak dapat digunakan, sampai akhirnya menanyakan ke vendor.
Ya, agar dapat menguninstall Symantec Antivirus Corporate Client (managed), cara paling mudah adalah menanyakan ke admin yang mengaturnya. Jika memang tidak dimungkinkan karena berbagai hal, dapat melakukannya dengan cara berikut:
- Coba gunakan password default, yaitu: "symantec" (tanpa tanda petik), cara ini belum tentu berhasil jika sebelumnya sudah digunakan password lain;
- Atau langsung mem-by-pass agar uninstall tidak lagi memerlukan password, yaitu dengan mengedit registry. Masuk ke:

pernah gak ngalamin kejadian error gak bisa ngedelete file trus muncul peringatan kayak gini...
error biasanya muncul akibat file ato folder tersebut di locked oleh program lain. dalam hal ini file ato folder yang di block tidak dapat di akses seperti di baca atopun di eksekusi, dan juga gak bisa di copy atopun di delete.
kemungkinan error ini terjadi karena :
- Cannot delete file: Access is denied.
- There has been a sharing violation.
- The source or destination file may be in use.
- The file is in use by another program or user.
- Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use
salah satu cara untuk mngatasinya dengan reboot windows untuk menghentikan semua proses, tapi jika file ato folder ini di block oleh virus, walopun di rebootpun percuma.. gak ngefek...
so kita bisa minta bantuan sopwer utility, salah satunya Unlocker. ada versi bahasa indonesianya coy.. 
Aplikasinya mudah kok digunakan, tinggal klik doang... gini neh caranya :
- klik kanan file ato folder trus pilih unlocker
- jika file to folder locked/terkunci, maka akan muncul list lockers di window

File [exe] terinfeksi virus, bisakah diselamatkan ?
Bagi yang pernah / sering menggunakan anti-virus, pasti tidak asing lagi dengan istilah-istilah seperti heal, quarantine, move to virus vault, dan sebagainya. Ketika kita sedang scan file/folder, kemudian ditemukan virus/file yang terinfeksi, biasanya akan muncul konfirmasi file tersebut mau diapakan, atau juga mungkin secara otomatis file tersebut akan dihapus atau masuk karantina, tergantung jenis anti-virus dan pengaturannya.
Bagi kebanyakan orang mungkin ketika terdeteksi sebagai virus akan langsung memilih hapus untuk keamanan. Jika data-data yang terkena virus tidak begitu penting, mungkin tidak menjadi masalah. Tetapi jika merupakan data penting, maka sebaiknya atur agar jangan langsung dihapus, bisa di move to quarantine atau move to virus vault, sesuai dengan anti virus yang digunakan. Apakah data masih bisa diselamatkan? Bisa Iya bisa Tidak.
Jika file atau data kita terinfeksi oleh virus lama, kemungkinan masih bisa diselamatkan. Bagaimana langkah-langkahnya ?
- Sebelumnya, jika data kita cukup penting dan terdeteksi sebagai virus jangan dihapus, tetapi pilih move to vault atau masukkan ke karantina ( move to quarantine ), agar nantinya bisa di buka lagi. Jika antivirus langsung menghapus, atur kembali di bagian setting-nya.
- Catat nama/jenis virus yang terdeteki menginfeksi file. Biasanya antivirus mengetahui virus yang menginfeksi. Perlu diingat bahwa setiap anti virus sering memberikan nama tersendiri dengan virus yang ditemukannya. Jadi satu virus bisa memiliki nama hampir sebanyak anti virus yang ada.
- Cari informasi tentang nama virus di Internet, gunakan google. Atau bisa juga ketika kita online menggunakan fasilitas informasi bawaan anti virus yang ada, sehingga lebih akurat.
- Temukan karakteristik virus tersebut dan cara mengatasinya.

Bagi yang pernah / sering menggunakan anti-virus, pasti tidak asing lagi dengan istilah-istilah seperti heal, quarantine, move to virus vault, dan sebagainya. Ketika kita sedang scan file/folder, kemudian ditemukan virus/file yang terinfeksi, biasanya akan muncul konfirmasi file tersebut mau diapakan, atau juga mungkin secara otomatis file tersebut akan dihapus atau masuk karantina, tergantung jenis anti-virus dan pengaturannya.
Bagi kebanyakan orang mungkin ketika terdeteksi sebagai virus akan langsung memilih hapus untuk keamanan. Jika data-data yang terkena virus tidak begitu penting, mungkin tidak menjadi masalah. Tetapi jika merupakan data penting, maka sebaiknya atur agar jangan langsung dihapus, bisa di move to quarantine atau move to virus vault, sesuai dengan anti virus yang digunakan. Apakah data masih bisa diselamatkan? Bisa Iya bisa Tidak.
Jika file atau data kita terinfeksi oleh virus lama, kemungkinan masih bisa diselamatkan. Bagaimana langkah-langkahnya ?
- Sebelumnya, jika data kita cukup penting dan terdeteksi sebagai virus jangan dihapus, tetapi pilih move to vault atau masukkan ke karantina ( move to quarantine ), agar nantinya bisa di buka lagi. Jika antivirus langsung menghapus, atur kembali di bagian setting-nya.
- Catat nama/jenis virus yang terdeteki menginfeksi file. Biasanya antivirus mengetahui virus yang menginfeksi. Perlu diingat bahwa setiap anti virus sering memberikan nama tersendiri dengan virus yang ditemukannya. Jadi satu virus bisa memiliki nama hampir sebanyak anti virus yang ada.
- Cari informasi tentang nama virus di Internet, gunakan google. Atau bisa juga ketika kita online menggunakan fasilitas informasi bawaan anti virus yang ada, sehingga lebih akurat.
- Temukan karakteristik virus tersebut dan cara mengatasinya.

Virus Removal merupakan tool atau aplikasi khusus yang dibuat untuk melumpuhkan, memperbaiki atau untuk menangani virus-virus tertentu. Biasanya para pembuat anti-virus juga membuat berbagai virus removal untuk tipe-tipe virus tertentu. Hampir semua virus removal ini dapat di download secara gratis. Antivirus Terbaik Tahun 2008
 | Di kuarter pertama tahun 2008 ini, AV-test.org yang bekerjasama dengan AV-Test GmbH (Jerman) selesai mengadakan berbagai test membandingkan sekitar 28 Antivirus. Semua produk diambil dari versi terbaik yang diupdate pada tanggal 7 Januari 2008 dan ditest didalam sistem operasi Windows XP SP2 (English). Hal ini tentu saja merupakan Informasi dan test yang sangat bermanfaat sebagai referensi untuk memilih Antivirus. |
Pengetesan-pengetesan itu adalah sebagai berikut :
- Signature-based test
- False-Positives-Test ( kesalahan mendeteksi virus )
- Proactive detection
- Reaction times
- Rootkit detection (12 active samples)
Test ini untuk mengetahui akurasi Antivirus mendeteksi berbagai jenis virus yang ada. Pengetesan digunakan sample berbagai virus, trojan horses, backdoors, bots dan worm yang berjumlah lebih dari 1 juta (1.024.381 sample). Semuanya merupakan mallware yang menyebar selama 6 bulan terakhir. Pengetesan dilakukan dengan memberikan rating “very good” (++) terhadap Antivirus yang mampu mendeteksi lebih dari 98% mallware tersebut.
Pengetesan kedua dilakukan untuk mengetahui prosentase kesalahan mendeteksi file yang bersih. Untuk ini digunakan 65.000 clean files, dan hasilnya memberikan predikat “very good” (++) jika antivirus tidak mendeteksi kesalahan.
Proactive detection untuk mengetahui seberapa aktif Antivirus mampu mendeteksi virus-virus baru atau kemampuan mendeteksi ketika database virus belum diupdate ( misalnya belum diupdate selama satu mingggu ), selain itu juga kemampuan mendeteksi terhadap virus yang senantiasa merubah diri. Reaction times merupakan test untuk mengetahui seberapa cepat perusahaan Antivirus menanggapi menyebarnya virus baru, berdasarkan 55 sample di tahun 2007. Jika reaksi yang diberikan kurang dari 2 jam akan diberikan predikat “very Good” (++). Test terakhir untuk mendeteski keberadaan Rootkit, dengan menggunakan 12 sample.

Kesimpulan
Berdasarkan test-test diatas memang tidak ada antivirus yang paling unggul disemua tahap pengetesan. Tetapi paling tidak bisa diambil beberapa antivirus yang cukup bagus dari kesemua test. Beberapa test mungkin tidak terlalu penting untuk diperhitungkan, seperti reaction times. Waktu reaksi 6-8 jam pun bisa dikatakan cukup bagus bagi kita. Selain itu Rootkit detection juga bukan hal yang begtu penting, mengingat saat ini masih sangat jarang jenis rootkit ini. Jadi kesimpulan disini hanya menilai dari tiga test sebelumnya. Dan ini pun mungkin sangat subyektif. Berikut Urutan Virus terbaik versi ebsoft berdasar test-test (3 test pertama) diatas :
- AntiVir. Hampir disemua test mempunyai hasil yang sangat bagus. Ditambah lagi Antivir menyediakan versi Gratis, walaupun tidak semua fasilitas disediakan. Memang kadang masih salah mendeteksi beberapa file yang bersih sebagai virus. Antivir Web site
- AVK 2008. Antivirus ini mungkin jarang kita dengar di negeri kita, tetapi berdasarkan test diatas, menduduki peringkat tertinggi dalam mendeteksi virus.
